An Oscar system is made up of two or more members or parts..
One of these members must be a D.O. Sensing buoy but all of the other
members are optional and may be selected based upon your needs and preferences.
These members communicate with each other as a family, typically using
wireless radios. These members are:
- Oscar Mom - From
the comfort of your home or office, you can monitor & control all
of your ponds and aerator operations 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
OscarMom includes extensive alarm features, and you can even monitor
your ponds and control your aerators remotely using an ordinary phone
(cell)
- OscarDad - Provides
pond side display of pond and aerator status and control of aerator
operation. OscarDad is optional and operates completely independently
of OscarMom to give you the ultimate in reliability, redundancy and
operational backup.
- Aerator Control -
There are a number of aerator control options with
Oscar. They all however control the starting and stopping of aerators
and monitor both the power availability to the aerator and the power
usage (operation) of the aerator. The aerator controllers also provide
‘Smart’ features such as power shut down and sequencing when
restored and ‘rollover’ to the next aerator when needed.
- OscarBuoy - OscarBuoy-
Wireless, solar powered D.O. Sensing buoy. These buoys can be placed
anywhere in your ponds and are easily lifted over the nets when siening
fish. Also, a selection of probes and probe types are available including
dual (two) probe operation for ultimate reliability.
Configuration Options
There are a number of options that you can select
when first acquiring an Oscar system. Remember however, that you can later
add or change to other configurations. Oscar’s design is extremely
flexible and upgradeable.
- Monitor Only - This is the simplest and
fastest installation package. With this option only an OscarMom home
monitoring station is installed with a solar powered buoy in each pond.
- Aerator Control - You
can, at any time add in aerator control if it is not initially installed
on your Oscar System.
- OscarDad - Pond
side monitoring and control is not required but it is highly recommended
for maximum reliability, backup and cross checking as well as pond side
convience and control.
