OSCARMOM is at the heart of OSCAR's centralized
pond monitoring and control system. From the comfort of your home
or office, OscarMom lets you monitor and control all aspects of
your pond's operation.
OSCARMOM provides current and reliable information
so you can anticipate and avoid potential problems in any of your
ponds. OSCARMOM automates the 24-hour chore of monitoring your catfish
investment. With its advanced wireless communications, you save
money, reduce the risk of losing fish and gain peace of mind.
OscarMom has the ability to communicate directly
with buoys and aerator controllers and therefore an OscarDad is
not mandatory although its redundancy is desirable. In a monitor
only system, OscarMom can be instantly installed with ‘plug
& play’ wireless, solar powered buoys with virtually no
installation cost.
OscarMom is a program package which runs on a Windows
95/98 computer and includes an alarm box which plugs into your computer’s
serial port. This alarm box contains an audible alarm and also houses
a radio which communicates with the rest of the Oscar system.
OscarMom scans for aerator status / operation information
once every 5 minutes and retrieves buoy D.O. Data once every 15
minutes. Control functions, such as aerator operation, occurs immediately.
OscarMom is intuitive and easy to use. Most of the commonly used
functions are accessed by simply pressing a button located on the
right side of the ‘Scan’ screen. Online ‘Pop Up’
help makes it all easy to use and understand.
Oscar uses D.O. readings, time of day and D.O. trend
to intelligently control aerator operation. The ‘Early Off’
option automatically turns aerators off early in the morning if
the D.O. Is above a given set point and is rising.
You can monitor, change and override Oscar's automatic
control of your aerators.
Aerator running status is always available and
includes current amps being used. You set limits for out of range
alarms. Aerator operation statistics automatically maintained.
Two aerator timers are available for each pond.
Failsafe aerator operation. If D.O. Reading is not
certain, then aerators are turned on.
